PROJECT: On Our Radar

NAC are partnering with On Our Radar to run a community-led storytelling workshop.

On Our Radar are an award-winning media organisation. They use a participatory approach to work with people to tell their own stories, in their own way. They are a specialist group of journalists, filmmakers, digital storytellers and community practitioners using a participatory approach to work with people to tell their own stories, in their own way. Find out more about On Our Radar and their work here.

The workshop would explore the following topics:

  • How could we, as a community, tell the stories of those with severe and profound intellectual disabilities or PMLD
  • What kind of stories or themes we’d like a potential storytelling project to cover
  • What stereotypes we’d like to avoid
  • Whether there’d be interest within the group to capture their stories in a documentary or other format

Duration: 1.5hrs
Where: Online (on Zoom)

When: You can attend the workshop on either

Tuesday 12th March at 10am

or

Wednesday 13th March at 6pm

If you’re interested in taking part, contact [email protected]

We’d be happy to try to answer any questions you may have about taking part.
